History - How it started and changed throughout the years?
Cordaba used to be the capital of the Spanish City of Muslims. It was founded in 785 CE. At the start it was not very big but, it expanded over hundreds of years. After the expansion it became the third largest Islamic building out of everything the Islamic people had built.
Influence- How did the Christains influence the mosque?
The site at which the mosque of Cordoba was at, was previously owned by Christian people. The Christians had a church built there. After many years the mosque of Cordoba was captured by a Christian spanish king. Then the mosque was returned to its original Christian sanctuary state. This caused a lot of conflict between the muslims and the Christians. The conflict occured due to the fact that the Christians built a church in the middle of the mosque. They forcefully came in and built the church in the mosque which influenced the islamic people. 
Contents- What is inside of the mosque of Cordoba?
Inside of the mosque there are many different styles and works. One of the largest things in the mosque is the prayer hall. It is 23,400 square meters. Inside of the prayer hall there are five hundred columns and there are many stiped arches. Coming out of the marble floor there is a forest.

Time Period- When was the mosque of Cordoba built?
The mosque of Cordoba(la mezquita) was built sometime in the start of the 10th century. It was bulit during the reign of Abd ar-Rahman 111, who was one the greatest Islamic leaders. While this building was being built, Cordoba was the greatest city in Europe, out-doing even Byzantium. And the finishing of this mosque just made the city even more great. In the 14th century Enrique II rebuilt the royal chapel. There is also a Renaissance cathedral inside this mosque that was built in the 16th century.
Religiuos Importance- How does this landmark reflect or help define the culture of this region and/or Spain as a whole?
The mosque in spain is called "The Mosque". The people of spain believe that the mosque is the only true mosque that is important. The mosque contains of a christian church and a mosque for muslims. This shows that the culture revolves around this mosque. It is very large and decorative. Many people attend this church and mosque to support their religion. It is very significant in their culture.
